In recent days, a severe natural disaster has hit the Philippines. A typhoon swept through the country, many people died, the brutal destruction made tens of thousands homeless, and the settlements hit by the disaster have neither electricity nor infrastructure.

Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, started his Facebook post a short time ago, and he also made an announcement.

Just a few days before Christmas, hundreds of thousands of people face terrible difficulties.

In order to ease these burdens, we send emergency aid to people in trouble.

We provide HUF 5 million to Caritas in the Philippines to prepare food packages for families in difficult situations, and we send HUF 15 million to the Catholic Archdiocese on the island of Cebu so that they can restore their damaged churches.
