In order to protect children's health, the Government decree regulated the procedure for those teachers who do not take the mandatory vaccinations, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Human Resources.

Based on the decree , the employee who does not receive the vaccination by December 30 will be on unpaid leave from January 3. This regulation applies to establishments where vaccination is mandatory.

The government of Hungary still considers vaccination-based protection to be the most useful, as they write, we are not in a position to have masses of unvaccinated teachers teaching in schools.

Vaccinating teachers is important because they meet many people, children, parents, grandparents. Their vaccination is also important for their own health and the protection of others. The decree also stipulates that the Minister of Human Resources may - taking into account the proposal of the Operative Tribe - exempt the employee from unpaid leave.

Based on a ministerial decision, in order to organize the school year safely, the number of hours per week of lesson teachers and master pedagogues can be increased to 20 hours.

We would like to thank the teachers and school workers who took the opportunity to vaccinate, thereby contributing to the continuation of the new school year with personal, face-to-face education - concludes the announcement.
