Yesterday, 888.hu  published an article quoting the report given by the president of Fradi at the New Year's toast. Among other things, regarding the elections, Gábor Kubatov said: "If the left wins the elections, nothing good can be expected.

In the case of left-wing governments, Fradi was always bankrupt." Then the commentators came and had their say. Exactly what left-wing politicians put into their mouths as fake news. I will quote only one of them: András, for example, commented: "Kubatov depends on the fact that he is pushing a million in Fradiban orban (sic!)." In Hungarian , the Gyurcsánys suggest that Fradi is supported by the state, and that the state also built the stadium. If the state wasn't there, they spread, then Fradi would go bankrupt.

As if a left-wing government did not otherwise have a primary interest in the success of the country's largest and most successful sports club, the flagship of Hungarian sports culture. The facts show that he doesn't care at all. In fact! We can remember that Gyurcsány fan István Kisteleki, ex-MLSZ president, illegally exiled Ferencváros directly to NB II. During the left-wing governments, Fradi was indeed always bankrupt. As communications director, I unfortunately saw up close how the then sports minister Gyurcsány tricked club president János Furulyás. And what a serious problem it was to create the financial background for starting in NB I.

Left-wing politicians and commentators do not want to know this, they do not want to be aware of it. By doing so, they admit that reality is not important to them. It doesn't matter that the most famous Hungarian sports clubs no longer contribute to raising our children for a healthy life, improving our daily well-being, and strengthening national pride with their successes. While humming this Internationale, they would probably even be happy. What is important to them is that the left comes to power at any cost. And if Fradi hinders him in this with his success, then he should go bankrupt, rather perish, it doesn't matter, just let the Gyurcsánys come, with Márki Zay, who recently waded into the elderly without restraint. Isn't that how Márki-Zay treated the pensioners, their chances of winning are increasing because "The majority of the elderly Hungarian population, decimated also by Covid, voted for Fidesz". And after that, Márki-Zay is still in place, which is a scandal in itself.

So, for the Gyurcsánys, the desired crushing of Fradi would be just as much a means of gaining and maintaining power as accusing the government of  not signing the Istanbul Convention in relation to violence against women.

But why exactly is it fake news that the state maintains Ferencváros? The exact answer was also revealed in Gábor Kubatov's New Year's speech - which can be found on Facebook. The construction of the stadium on the less valuable part of the site cost HUF 18.5 billion. The tax and contribution implications of this are 7 billion, which immediately went back to the state coffers. The Telecom headquarters were raised on the more valuable half of the site for HUF 50 billion, of which the state's tax and contribution income is HUF 19 billion. It is more than the cost of building the stadium itself. In the other part of the plot, another 50 billion investment is being made, with office space and a hotel. Of this, the state will also get about 19 billion. The bottom line: in the Groupama arena, the state has won HUF 30 billion so far, let alone paid a penny.
