The Bivalyos Csárda was a well-known restaurant with a long history in Csillaghegy. At the end of last year, the news that it was sold exploded like a bomb. And the new owner demolished the building on the plot, which had seen better days, and is located just two streets from the Római-part, even though some parts of the building of the inn, which has been in operation since the 1930s, could be hundreds of years old, read Metropol.
By the way, the property had been empty for years, nobody was willing to rent it out, as it was not only in a very dilapidated condition, but the rent was also high. The former right-wing mayor, Balázs Bús, intended to renovate the inn, even through a tender, but after the elections, the new DK mayor abandoned this idea and instead got rid of the property, with a unique decision.
Metropol interviewed a real estate expert, who confirmed that the Óbuda municipality sold the historic inn and its plot for roughly half of the market price.
Only one applicant applied for the purchase of the property, for whom this price was very favorable even though he covered the costs of the demolition. According to information from Metropol, a multi-apartment apartment building will be built on the site of the Bivalyos csárda.
