Former Czech President Václav Klaus called on the government to distance itself from Markéta Pekarová Adamova, the speaker of the Czech House of Representatives. Moreover, he believes that the representatives should recall Pekarová Adamová.

Klaus reacted to the fact that the president of the Czech lower house called for the "ousting" of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

"The Czechs have already expelled their own Babiša. I really hope that the Hungarians will be able to do the same. The composition of political forces in Hungary is, from a distance, very similar to ours. The opposition there put aside their differences and united against the populist government, which has been led by Viktor Orbán for many years. Orbán has dubious relations with countries like Russia and China and is doing so at the expense of his own allies, including us.”

- said Pekárová in Adamové's Facebook post.

Adding that, in his opinion, only democratic countries have a place in the European Union, so the Hungarians should elect a new government in the spring. Former Czech President Václav Klaus reacted to this and called the words of the Speaker of the House of Representatives outrageous and an unprecedented attack on Hungarian dignitaries.

"Pekárová is harming her own country and its foreign policy with her thoughtless words and only proves that such arrogant persons have no business in public leadership positions. You can afford such statements as the leader of a marginalized political party, but certainly not as the president of the House of Representatives."

- can be read on the official website of the Václav Klaus Institute. With the fact that, according to Klaus, Petr Fiala's government should distance itself from the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and their representatives should recall Pekárová Adamová from her position.
