There are countless tasks in the health sector, but it does not matter whether we go forward or backward - wrote Parliamentary State Secretary Bence Rétvári in his Facebook post on Friday.

While in recent years we have built 23 new dispensaries and renovated 54 dispensaries, the left is now preparing to merge outpatient dispensaries.

In Hungarian, this means that clinics would be closed in many settlements, outpatient care would cease, Bence Rétvári drew attention in his post.

The parliamentary state secretary explained that the remaining clinics would be more crowded and the waiting time would also increase. In addition, he went on to list, where the clinics would be closed, it would be possible to reach the specialists with a longer journey.

With this, health care would not be closer, but further away from the patients, he pointed out.

The left has again brought forward its plan for the visit fee, which was previously abolished by referendum, so a visit fee would have to be paid in the few remaining outpatient clinics.

The Secretary of State summed it up in his post:

Visiting fees, distance and more crowded outpatient clinics would noticeably worsen people's access to health care.

As he recalled, Imre László of DK had previously said that 45 percent of hospitals would be closed, "now we also know that a good number of outpatient clinics would also have to close."
