The prime minister reacted to the French president's statement that soldiers from EU countries could be sent to Ukraine.

The Hungarian Prime Minister reacted on social media to Emmanuel Macron's statement the other day, according to which the French President does not rule out sending Western soldiers to Ukraine.

Known: On Monday, Macron met with the leaders of European countries in Paris about the support to be provided to Ukraine, and after the meeting, the host stated that France maintains "strategic uncertainty", i.e. it cannot rule out that it might send soldiers to the war-torn country in the future.

Leaders of many EU member states have already distanced themselves from Macron's steep ideas, and the NATO Secretary General has also stated that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization does not plan to send troops to Ukraine either.

This is how world leaders reacted to Macron's ominous statement

"We will not send weapons to Ukraine, with or without soldiers," Orbán stated in his video post.

Péter Szijjártó also commented on the French proposal on Facebook in the same tone:

"We hear and see the news about last night's meeting in Paris. Hungary's position is clear and rock solid: we are not willing to send either weapons or soldiers to Ukraine. The war should not be deepened or widened, but ended," emphasized the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
