Early on Wednesday evening, they protested against the defense agreement between the government, SZK and the USA, the mandatory vaccination, and the increase in food and energy prices in front of the presidential palace of the Republic. Several opposition representatives spoke at the rally. They agreed that an early election is the "only way out".

"Slovakia must be ready for citizens' anti-government uprising," said Robert Fico , president of Smer-SD. He announced that the petition campaign aimed at calling a referendum on early elections will be launched shortly. The petition will also include a question about American bases and an increase in prices. Fico emphasized: Russia does not pose any threat to Slovakia.

In addition to the representatives of Smer, which organized the demonstration, Matúš Šutaj Eštok, a member of Hlas-SD, and Andrej Danko, president of the non-parliamentary SNS, also spoke. The latter stated that he could imagine Robert Fico as head of state. He believes that the joint participation of the opposition parties in the demonstration is the first sign of cooperation.

According to the police, there were no riots or other violations during the demonstration. Michal Szeiff, the spokesperson of the Bratislava district police, told the TASR news agency that "an adequate number of riot police, crime and traffic police were supervising the public order".

The protesters filled the part of Hodža square in front of the presidential palace. Smer-SD informed on the social network that several thousand people took part in the movement.
