Miklós Kásler, Minister of Human Resources, discussed issues of archeology, cinematography and museology in Belgrade with Serbian Minister of Culture Maja Gojkovic.

After the meeting Miklós Kásler told MTI that he and the Serbian minister reviewed the cooperation of the past years, as well as joint plans for the future. In addition, they discussed the archaeological and museological developments in Serbia and Hungary, including the importance of marking, excavating and registering archaeological sites. The politicians also agreed on the Cultural Capital of Europe program, since in 2010 it was Pécs, this year it will be Novi Sad, and next year it will be Veszprém. According to Miklós Kásler, Serbia and Hungary can support each other in this program as well.

IN CONNECTION WITH THE ELEMENT OF SHARED HISTORY, THE SCENES RELATING TO THE BATTLE OF NÁNDORFEHÉRVÁR IN THE UPCOMING HUNYADI FILM WILL BE FILMED IN THE CASTLE OF SZENDRŐ (SMEDEREVO) IN SERBIA, BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY CASTLE IN CENTRAL EUROPE WHICH CONTAINS AND RESTORES THE ARCHITECTURE OF KORABEL.

The Serbian Minister of Culture promised help in all areas of the filming, explained Miklós Kásler. The Minister of Human Resources also drew attention to the fact that other topics of Hungarian-Serbian history can be worked on in cooperation between the two countries.
