Those forced to flee from Transcarpathia also arrived at the House of Life in Csobánka, which belongs to the St. Francis of Dévai Foundation in Hungary, established by a Franciscan monk. Brother Csaba presented a holy mass for them. All programs in the home, which originally operated as a place for pilgrims, spiritual practice and youth accommodation, were canceled and, in cooperation with the Maltese Charity Service, the house opened its doors to refugees. Now they need food, drink, tea, fruit, candy, and cleaning products.
"We express our solidarity with prayer, fasting, vigil, and undertaking self-denials!" - said Csaba Böjte, who recently presented a holy mass for the brothers who fled from Transcarpathia.
"The Son of Man must suffer many things:" (Lk 9:22) - Jesus prostrated himself in front of the walls of Jerusalem crying two thousand years ago. Even today, Odessa, Kharkiv, and Kiev fall down crying in front of their walls torn by explosions. Our savior is still suffering today, because Christian brothers and sisters are murdering and killing each other with relentless hatred! Our savior wants to gather - like a brooder his chicks - to embrace us all in peace and love without discrimination! I believe that another Easter dawn will dawn on this endless sad Good Friday period, because
love and goodness can be killed, buried with tyrannical laws, but it will rise again on the third day!
It is important to show our intention of reconciliation, to make mutually gentle gestures that calm, encourage and start the other on the path of dialogue - concluded the father, who also emphasized that for us the command of Jesus Christ is the guiding principle!
In the midst of troubles and troubles, we do not hide in our safe hideouts, but we gather in our churches and pray with confidence, we seek protection and comfort in the sanctuaries of our God. The welfare consumer society, which promises more and more, and from which everyone demands more and more, like a bug confused by bright light flaps nervously and knocks against the wall.
Our souls became heavy in secure prosperity, we believed that everything we desire will come our way, even without hard, persistent work.
Our world is filled with greed, crime, violence, people demand insatiably, the great powers cry war, fight, shake their weapons.
Let us pray for blessed peace, so that the great powers can come to an agreement at the price of as few victims as possible, because this is not a war of peoples, not of ordinary people!
What can we do? As our Church asks, we express our solidarity with the residents of the war-torn areas by prayer, fasting, vigil, and undertaking self-denials! We trust that this bloody storm will end as quickly as it came. Let's pray with our Transcarpathian brothers who carry the cross, let's make a pilgrimage together in these tragic hours and days! I think with sympathy for all fallen soldiers and civilian victims - emphasized the Transylvanian monk, who also emphasized that
we have not received a spirit of despair, but a spirit of prayer.
They are now asking for prayers and help from those who want to help those coming from the region, the Szent Ferenc Foundation in Déva has opened a separate bank account to support the care of the refugees:
