Twelve years of management. Emil Petrovics, the general director of the Opera House, once found himself saying - already in the years after the "system change" - that running an institution ultimately cannot be done democratically. There was an uproar from it, even though all that happened was that he said that the leader always makes the decision about the ideas. The choice can be democratic, the decision personal based on authorization. And we can say the same about the leaders of our country and the person of our representative. So much for those demanding checks and balances. Every four years, as well as during referendums and national consultations, we are also given the opportunity to directly decide on an issue and exercise the rights granted by democracy. Where this authorization led to, whether there were many of us and whether it was enough, we will talk about this with our guests.
