The election result and the lack of self-criticism of left-wing politicians were also discussed in the program 48 minutes - Host: Tamás Lánczi, whose guests this time are political scientist G. Fodor Gábor, the XXI. They were the strategy director of Szazad Institute and lawyer András Schiffer.

Naturally, Tamás Lánczi started the conversation with Sunday's election, namely that Fidesz won with the largest number of votes of all time, while the left suffered a historic defeat. The opposition got over the failure very quickly, the tears dried up, so the question is whether there will be any consequences at all, or whether the self-examination has stopped here.

András Schiffer said that he is not interested in what kind of introspection DK is holding. According to him, these parties are not leftist, there is no leftist party in Hungary. Péter Márki-Zay was undoubtedly right in the campaign to deny that he was a leftist. However, his viewpoint is not at all clear.

Parties and party initiatives are in a worse state than in 2018. Reflecting on the lack of resignations, Schiffer believed that Gyurcsány (who, in his opinion, is the biggest winner of the election next to Viktor Orbán), Jakab or the leadership of the MSZP do not need to resign, while Gergely Karácsony resigned from the leadership of a party that never existed.

Gábor Fodor, the XXI. According to the strategic director of the Szazad Institute, what happened to the left after the election - for which there are no consequences - may be because this party elite is looking for an opportunity to continue. And to continue, we need a scapegoat - this is Márki-Zay - and an explanation that consists of the fact that Jobbik voters did not leave.

According to the political scientist, the alliance fell to pieces, that's all they can do, and if there are no new people, faces, forces, then the right wing can continue to govern for at least another 10 years.

According to Schiffer, all parties on the opposition side, apart from DK, have been reduced to an amazing level. He personally, as an LMP politician, lived the unity mantra after 2010, and anyone who went against this was called a Fidesz agent and attacked.

The three main expectations of the opposition were that the coalition, the unfavorable geopolitical situation and the economic crisis would bring them victory. Compared to this, they can show a result together like the MSZP led by Attila Mesterházy in 2012.
