The speech given in the European Parliament by Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, who called for the deepening of integration and the creation of a "pragmatic federation", wrote Justice Minister Judit Varga in a post shared on Facebook.

The minister added that "all this, moreover, would abolish the veto system in matters of foreign affairs, which was also welcomed by the left-liberal majority EP, since Guy Verhofstadt had previously expressed similar thoughts..."

The Hungarian position is clear: the right of veto is the last bastion of European diversity. By abolishing it, the specificities and national interests of the member states would be undermined, and the will of the sovereign countries would be rendered impossible. We cannot allow this - the Minister of Justice pointed out.

We say no to the European empire - Judit Varga concluded her post.
