This was his first and last speech when he called Hungary's legally elected government illegitimate - this is how House Speaker László Kövér reacted to Ferenc Gyurcsány's speech before Monday's agenda.

We consider the new government to be illegitimate - this is what Ferenc Gyurcsány said in his speech before the agenda, explaining all of this by saying, "Because legality is not the appearance of legality, but compliance with the will of the people enshrined in law." In other words, according to the president of the DK, the fallen socialist prime minister, the Orbán government, elected four times in a row by two-thirds, does not meet the will of the people. According to him - this also emerged from the speech - the election does not express the will of the people unless it is free and fair.

To this, Speaker László Kövér said: the fact that I did not take the floor does not mean that he has the right to call this government illegal. You have no moral basis to call the government illegal because it brought the country to the brink of civil war in 2006, he added. You have committed every crime there is against this nation, and there are personal examples of that. This was his first and last speech when he calls Hungary's legally elected government illegal.

We are not surprised that a post-communist force does not accept its election results when they do not win. When he shot at his own people, it was illegal - said Csaba Dömötör , State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office, in his answer. Even after the election, Gyurcsány announced the old-new direction, and as a result, all left-wing parties became Gyurcsány's wing. If the left was given the opportunity, the country would be closer to war, said the state secretary.
