A two-day transatlantic summit is being held in Budapest, at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, organized by the Political Network for Values.

The IV. On the second Friday of the English-language event called Transatlantic Summit, Miklós Szánthó, director general of the Center for Fundamental Rights, said that the liberals are trying to appropriate the concept of freedom, seasoning it with their own ideology, but this is a false aspiration. Neither freedom, nor democracy, nor the rule of law, which is much talked about these days, can be given a neutral definition, stated the Director General.

He said that freedom is more than overconsumption.

" We have to play by our own rules, and the liberals have to get used to taking into account what we think about freedom, " Miklós Szánthó quoted Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

He declared that their freedom was the good freedom rooted in God, patriotism and family.

The director general said that freedom is definitely not understood as freedom.

Rights must be inspired by the natural order, rights are not flexible, above all they are not genderfluid. Rights also come with obligations, he stressed.

Miklós Szánthó said that the opponents of the conservatives are constantly discovering new rights and freedoms that have nothing to do with the ones just mentioned. For example, they give rights to silence others or comfortable prison conditions, the Director General opined, adding that liberals consider the individual as the basis of society.

He stated: the right of parents to raise their children as they see fit has also come under attack.

However, the liberals overshot the target, Miklós Szánthó emphasized.

He called the Hungarian right-wing the engine of the growing conservative rebellion around the world. According to him, Hungary is setting an example, which is why the Transatlantic Summit is being held in Budapest.

The director-general stated that " those who today call themselves liberal, progressive, social democrat or democratic socialist are quite simply modern-day followers of Karl Marx ". Marx knew exactly that a free society cannot be destroyed without destroying the family, but Hungary will not let that happen, he declared.

" Together we are a force, we will be dinner for the Marxist wolves everywhere, " Miklós Szánthó insisted.
