"The protracted war in Ukraine poses a serious security risk, and it also has serious economic consequences," said the prime minister's chief adviser on internal security in the current program of the M1 channel on Friday evening.

Among the economic risks, György Bakondi singled out the European embargoes, which were "ill-considered in many respects", the lack of wheat deliveries, and the continuous deterioration of economic relations.

He emphasized that the main goal of the Hungarian government's policy is to keep the country away from the war conflict and not let the Hungarian people pay the price for everything caused by the war or the sanctions policy.

György Bakondi commented on the migration situation: there is significant movement at the Greek-Turkish border, and the growing trend is also visible at the Hungarian border.

"So far this year, 79,000 border violators have been apprehended, compared to 36,000 apprehended in the same period last year," said the chief domestic security advisor.
