According to Szilárd Németh, the residents of Csepel received a district heating bill of more than one hundred thousand forints. The government commissioner responsible for the maintenance of utility reduction called for an investigation and an apology from Mayor Gergely Karácsony, because residents of two Csepel panel houses were illegally billed more than HUF 100,000 for district heating consumption.

The politician's statement was delivered to the media by the Ministry of Technology and Industry on Sunday. In it, Szilárd Németh wrote,

he was shocked to read in the press that the residents of two panel houses in Csepel received district heating bills of more than HUF 100,000.

I knew that the left, including Főtáv's legal practitioner, Gergely Karácsony, was constantly digging and carving from the beginning and would eliminate the overhead reduction. However, I did not think that I would stumble upon such an illegality, harming the families and pensioners of Csepel," he said, adding that this should be investigated immediately.

I call on Gergely Karácsony to immediately cancel, withdraw and settle the illegal invoices, fully implement the utility reduction and apologize to the injured residents!"

- wrote Szilárd Németh, who also urged the mayor to investigate whether the violation could have occurred in other residential buildings with district heating.

And he asked the Budapest government office to immediately and comprehensively investigate the responsibility of Kölcsey Lakászövetkezet and Főtáv in the violation of consumer protection rules and utility reduction.

"In Hungary, utility reduction is a right guaranteed by law to all utility-paying individuals, and no one can violate it with impunity," the government commissioner emphasized in his announcement.
