The price cap is a defense against wartime inflation, left-wing parties attack it because it serves foreign interests. This was also discussed by jr. Zoltán Lomnici in his interview with Origo.

Lomnici said: Brussels takes measures on an ideological basis: it refuses to acknowledge the reality and is unable to understand that the sanctions do not work. The result of the sanctions policy so far has been, among other things, a drastic increase in Russian oil export revenues, which in this area alone means extra income of several billion dollars per month for Russia. However, it is much more tragic than this that it has become a gateway in both political and economic terms, exposing its leadership and societies to non-EU lobby groups, speculators and their political interests.

This is a historical sin of the Barrosos, Junckers, Tusks and Webers, which is unforgivable and unacceptable.

Based on all of this, it is not surprising that while the European economy is caught up in the punitive measures introduced in the field of energy, and households are shocked by the increased utility costs, new markets are opening up for Russia, where it can sell its energy carriers on better terms. Sanctions therefore hurt the sanctioner more than the person they intend to punish.

Despite this, the Brussels bureaucrats still want to continue their senseless policy, and as a next step they are already considering the introduction of a gas embargo, which is even more serious than the ban on the import of Russian crude oil; it would have unforeseeable consequences for Europe and European households. Behind the decisions in Brussels, which make the establishment of peace impossible, again

Unconditional service to the interests of György Soros and those financial circles that are interested in prolonging the war, as they can gain significant extra profit as a result.

As a result, it is no coincidence that in his letter to the Italian Prime Minister, the American stock speculator advocated the introduction of even heavier sanctions, while his son, the vice-president of the Open Society Foundations, directly stated that "the EU should introduce an oil and gas embargo".

As a result of Brussels' faulty energy policy, senseless sanctions and wartime inflation, fuel prices in Europe have risen drastically. In several member states, the price of gasoline per liter exceeds HUF 1,000, so if the world market conditions prevailed in our country as well, Hungarian motorists would have to pay several tens of thousands of HUF per month.

However, thanks to the price regulation measure, the fuel prices in our country are the lowest in Europe, which provides a huge help to Hungarian families on a daily basis. All of this reflects the position of the government, which has been consistently expressed since the outbreak of the war, that it is necessary to prevent the Hungarian people from paying the price of the war by all possible means.

However, in addition to protecting families, the regulation also has a number of additional positive economic effects: among other things, it encourages food trade, and it also has an inflation-reducing effect and has an effect on other product groups, as well as a brake on rising prices.

To the suggestion that the Hungarian left constantly attacks the price caps, while the measure helps millions of Hungarians, Lomnici said:

Even under their government, the crisis management strategy of the left was based on serving foreign interests and austerity. The proof of this is that

under the MSZP-SZDSZ governments, Hungarian households paid the highest utility costs in Europe.

The failed prime minister candidate of the left previously called the bourgeois-nationalist government's measures to protect Hungarian families "irresponsible steps", and Ferenc Gyurcsány said that "you can applaud the fact that we cut off all benefits, but then in the end we die of hunger, because in a well-functioning economy you need the profit".

Their statements in the current situation also fit into this way of thinking, which is based on unconditionally serving global financial interests and multinational companies instead of protecting the interests of the Hungarian people.

This once again confirms the legitimate fears that if they get into government, they would put the population in an impossible situation, which would affect everyone regardless of political affiliation.
