On the occasion of Semmelweis Day, Máté Kocsis thanked the healthcare workers for their self-sacrificing work in a post published on his social media page.

"Today, nearly 150,000 people work in the healthcare sector in Hungary. Many people owe their lives, or at least our health, to their continuous work. In recent years, the civilian government has begun to build a modern healthcare system and a system of financial appreciation for those who work in it, and today, on the birthday of Ignác Semmelweis, we recognize their tirelessness with the holiday. God bless the health workers!"
