The Pro Filii Foundation is helping NGOs and private individuals with another quarter of a billion forints. The approximately 520 applicants submitted in the second quarter requested a total of HUF 3 billion 117 million in support from the Mészáros Group foundation. Pursuant to the decision of the Board of Trustees, 47 applications with a value of almost HUF 252 million were finally approved.

The Pro Filii Foundation was launched by the Mészáros Group at the end of 2021 with the intention of making its social responsibility demonstrated in recent years more planable for those requesting support, and making assistance more efficient. Out of the 520 applications received in the second quarter of this year, on the recommendation of the Jury Committee made up of the managers of the company group, the Board of Trustees decided to grant HUF 50.8 million to 10 individuals and HUF 201.2 million to 37 civil and non-profit organizations. In accordance with the purpose of the Pro Filii Foundation, priority was given to applications whose target group is children disadvantaged for health, social or other reasons, and with the help of the support, a wider range of assistance can be provided. For this reason, the foundation supports, among others, the Miskolc Autistic Foundation, Otthon XVI. Foundation and the Hungarian National Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired, but a program that helps in the early detection of child abuse also receives support.

The Pro Filii Foundation also contributes to the bilateral hip reconstruction surgery of a 4-year-old girl, and supports with HUF 10 million the Inter-Europa Mentőszolgált Közhaznú Nonprofit Kft., which operates the country's only mobile intensive care unit for adults, which can use the support to replace 3-5 daily the ambulance providing emergency care for critically ill and injured people. Most of the applicants applied for support for the implementation of social and health programs, the foundation also accepted cultural and sports applications: the support of the Innovation Sports Foundation enables underprivileged children to participate in judo training, and the Rearticon Art Association can organize it thanks to the favorable decision of the board of trustees again this year, the usual Advent Craft Bazaar. Most applications came from the Eastern Hungarian region, but the programs supported by the foundation cover all regions of the country.

Krisztina Tóth, communications director of the Mészáros Group, stated in connection with the second quarter tender evaluations: "The tender amount requested from the Pro Filii Foundation has almost tripled, which indicates that the activities of the foundation have become known and popular among civil and non-profit organizations as well as private individuals.
