Unabashedly, but at least stupidly!
As is well known, Viktor Orbán's speech in Tusnádfürdő caused quite a storm, including the part about racial mixing. An opinion piece appeared first in the entire Hungarian media, on Monday, July 25, at 7:00 a.m. here, on 2022plus, which reconstructed what happened and pointed to the source of this part of the speech.
But after Tusványos - what does someone who doesn't read write? Our article highlighted, among other things, that
the concept of adaptation should not be confused with that of plagiarism.
Still, Telex succeeded, and it's no accident. Even their clickbait title choice is revealing:
Orbán stole the racial expressions from a French writer for his speech in Tusnádfürdő.
Effective, isn't it?
It's just not true. He didn't steal, and it's not just a French writer, but also a French minister who was born in Morocco and is also half-Lebanese, in short, not exactly French. Camp of the Saints , at least twice in his speech . Probably to point out his own theft in front of millions. Oh no.
But Telex managed all this even by publishing its article published a day and a half later, on July 26, at 4:12 p.m., without attribution, which goes against journalistic ethics and violates intellectual property rights, i.e. copyright.
A media worker named Zsolt Sarkadi saw our article, cut it, distorted it, and then published it on Telex. In Hungarian, he stole it.
So Zsolt Sarkadi stole. The chance that a telex media worker will willingly and enthusiastically pick up a volume published in the latest edition of the close-to-government Fundamental Rights Center, which is even recommended by Viktor Orbán, we can say with a calm heart, is converging towards zero.
