The Regional Labor Support for Enterprises program will start on August 15. Companies can apply for a maximum of HUF 150,000 monthly non-refundable wage subsidy for newly hired job seekers registered in rural areas, announced Zsolt Kutnyánszky.

The state secretary responsible for industry and the labor market of the Ministry of Technology and Industry (TIM) said that the state contribution provided for a maximum of half a year specifically encourages the employment of those with a more difficult employment situation - for example, those starting a career, those with low education or raising small children.

The new program will be available in all rural regions of the country, except for Budapest and Pest County, from the middle of the month. The target group of the support is those who have not yet reached the age of 25, career starters between the ages of 25 and 30, over 50 with no more than a basic education, and jobseekers who have been registered for at least 6 months.

However, support can also be granted to those who have left public employment for no more than 30 days, have a changed ability to work, are raising small children, receive care allowances, or are residents of one of the small rural settlements listed in the soon-to-be published call.

In the case of employment of a job seeker who can be classified in at least one of the above groups, the amount of the subsidy is half of the gross salary charged to the employer and the social contribution tax actually transferred. If the newly hired employee meets several of the listed criteria, the company can apply for support of up to 75 percent of the gross salary and allowance. The employer may receive a maximum of HUF 150,000 monthly wage subsidy for a jobseeker for a maximum of six months in the case of a full working time of 8 hours per day.

Detailed documentation will be published on the www.munka.hu website on August 15, TIM's announcement states.

Zsolt Kutnyánszky explained: one of the most important tasks of the government is to protect the results achieved in building a work-based economy and achieve full employment.

Despite the extraordinary challenges, the most important labor market indicators are at the most favorable levels measured since the regime change. In recent months, the lowest values of the last three decades have been registered in the number of job seekers. The opportunity that will open in the countryside within days can help up to ten thousand people find work. In the central Hungarian region, the Labor Support for Enterprises program continues unchanged. Thanks to the government initiative launched almost two years ago, nearly 50,000 job seekers have been placed nationwide, with a total of about HUF 32 billion in support.
