The reconstruction of the Cathedral of King St. István in Székesfehérvár has been completed. On the city's pledge day, Sunday, August 14, 2022, Cardinal-Primate Dr. Péter Erdő, Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest, will bless the renovated cathedral.

A procession with the relics of the Hungarian Holy Family (St. Stephen, Blessed Gizella, St. Imre) will start from the Bishop's Palace to the cathedral at 5 p.m. After the placement of the relics, the solemn mass begins at 5:15 p.m. with the present members of the Hungarian Catholic Bishops' Conference.

As part of the Mass, Cardinal Péter Erdő blesses the renovated church and renews the offering of our country to the Virgin Mary, just as King Saint István did in 1038 the day before his death, when the country was left without an heir to the throne. After the Holy Mass, the relics are escorted back to the palace in a procession.

Fehérvár Television and EWTN Catholic Television will broadcast the Székesfehérvár Votive Mass live from the completely renovated St. István King Cathedral on August 14 at 5:15 p.m.
