The former Prime Minister candidate of the left was outraged in the evening program of ATV that the opposition cannot receive campaign money from abroad.

Péter Márki-Zay was the guest of ATV's evening program, where the topic of foreign campaign financing was discussed, as the opposition could receive financial support from the United States before this year's parliamentary elections. Péter Márki-Zay said earlier that since the Everyone's Hungary Movement is not a party, the organization can safely accept money from abroad.

On Tuesday evening, the Hódmezővásárhely city manager stated that he spoke by phone with Zoltán Sas, the chairman of the National Security Committee in Jobbik, to whom he told that

the opposition's task is to stop Fidesz's illegal campaign financing, and Fidesz's goal is to block the opposition's legal campaign financing.

After that, Péter Márki-Zay spoke about how Viktor Orbán's biggest opponents were Soros, Simicska, and the Norwegian state, because it was identified that

the opposition could potentially get "some small funding from these places".

According to the mayor, Fidesz has already withheld Hungarian support from the opposition, and now they are preparing to do the same with foreigners.

Now foreigners will be locked up as well, Viktor Orbán has been doing this for twelve years," said Márki-Zay.

2022Plus: Laws are not meant to be disobeyed or circumvented, but to be respected by all of us. The opposition often tells Fidesz that they follow the letter of the law, but not the spirit! So, neither according to the letter nor according to the spirit, it is not possible to influence the Hungarian elections from abroad. It would be nice if the dollar left swept in front of your own house!
