Seeing the professionalism and effective implementation of the Hungarian commitments made in order to reach an agreement with the Commission, at the meeting of the Council of the Interior and Justice, the member states decided to extend the deadline set in the conditionality procedure by two months, until December 19. Judit Varga reported on the Council's discussion in a Facebook post.

The decision of the member states now provides an opportunity for the process to be successfully concluded, which means not only the adoption and entry into force of the laws, but also their implementation, especially with regard to the establishment of the Integrity Authority. - explained the Minister of Justice, adding: "This is the result of a constructive dialogue based on mutual respect."
