According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who gave his celebratory speech in Transylvania, the nation's traitors "without exception have always gone down the drain of history."

The revolution of 1848 calls us to unite and sends the message that we count on all Hungarians to change the destiny of our nation for the better, every Hungarian is responsible for all Hungarians

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on Friday in Sepsiszentgyörgy. According to the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in his speech at the ceremony on the occasion of the 176th anniversary of the outbreak of the revolution and freedom struggle of 1848-1849, the head of the ministry emphasized that

the Hungarians live in several countries of the Carpathian Basin not because they wanted to, but because history shaped them that way.

"Therefore, we Hungarians know for sure that we must act together, with joint strength, and help each other across borders for the sake of our country and our nation," he declared. "The revolution of 1848 calls us to unite. And it also sends the message that we count on all Hungarians to change the destiny of our nation for the better, and together we confess that every Hungarian is responsible for every Hungarian," he continued.

There are, of course, and always have been traitors. Traitors who will do anything for power or even a minute of glory.

Some have been bought by empires, will be bought. There are those who have been bankrolled by the empires, are being bankrolled. And they didn't even shy away from dividing Hungarianness, from making us, Hungarians from the motherland and those living across the border, jump on each other," he warned.

"But calm down, my dear friends, they will all, without exception, go down in history, because the spirit of the Hungarian nation does not exist without György Sepsiszent, Lendva, Eszék, Munkács, Dunaszerdahely, Zenta or the Hungarianness of the diaspora. That is why it is our duty to firmly stand up for the rights of the Hungarian communities at all times, we have done this and will continue to do so in the future"

he stated.
