The Autumn Cultural Days event series awaits the public in Párkány for the tenth time, which offers two performances in October and three in November - with the exception of one occasion - at the Párkány City Cultural Center. Organized by the Párkány és Vidéke Cultural Association, the audience is welcomed with a diverse, demanding program.

György Himmler, the organizer of the event, presented the two-month program series to our portal:

The opening performance will be on October 16, starting at 7 p.m., when the Centrál Színház presents the play College of Visual Arts, starring Zoltán Mucsi, Péter Scherer, and László Katona.

The second performance will take place on October 23, starting at 7 p.m. The Vujicsics Ensemble's concert awaits music lovers in the cultural center. The Vujicsics Ensemble was founded in Pomáz in 1974. Since then, the South Slavic musical formation has been at the forefront of Europe's folk bands. Continuing the work of the composer and folk music researcher Tihamér Vujicsics, who died tragically, the music of the Serbs and Croats in Hungary is collected and processed. Their repertoire, formed from archaic traditions, has become concert music that is appreciated on the podiums of the country, Europe and more distant continents.

The third performance, on November 6, will be held in the concert hall of the Liszt Ferenc Art School, unlike the other performances. The concert of the Samaria Klezmer Band will begin at 7 p.m.

On November 13, at 6 p.m., the public is invited to the City Cultural Center again with the musical production of the Bognár Szilvia Sextet, where three musical worlds intertwine. The outstanding performers of the Hungarian jazz and world music scene highlight their individual styles and combine into a harmonious whole the folk songs of different nationalities with the characteristic motifs and moods of jazz and Indian classical music. In addition to Hungarian folk songs, the group's repertoire includes arrangements of Hungarian gypsy, Bulgarian, and Greek songs. Keeping the acoustic sound and the naturalness of the traditional performance, they row with confidence in the diverse stream of different musical styles and traditional melodies.

The last performance will take place on November 20 at 6 p.m., when the Corvinus Közgáz Folk Dance Group closes the series of cultural programs and delights dance lovers. The folk dance group was founded in 1948 and operates within the framework of the university. Its members are university students and young intellectuals starting their careers. Most of them are not from Budapest, they come from different parts of the country, from different ensembles.

In recent years, the country has been represented in Barcelona, Verona, and Stockholm. They appeared several times at the events of the Spring Festival and the Sziget Festival, as well as as permanent guests of the featured concerts of the world-famous Music Ensemble.

Admission to all events is free.
