A cross-country forum was organized by the Association of Christian Intellectuals and the Christian Democratic People's Party. In the framework of the program series, Christian answers to current public questions are sought. At the beginning of the 21st century, it was perhaps never so important to talk about how different public life issues relate to the Christian faith and how the Christian faith can be lived in public life.

The Christian Democratic People's Party (KDNP) is a party with a declared Christian worldview, so it is particularly important that it continuously engages in dialogue on public issues - said the Parliamentary State Secretary responsible for regional development of the Prime Minister's Office, the executive secretary of the KDNP, on Wednesday evening in Sopron, the Association of Christian Intellectuals (KÉSZ) and the KDNP relaunched forum series.

Csaba Latorcai highlighted in the welcome speech held at the first stop of the national program series "Public Issues through Christian Eyes", the party therefore welcomed KÉSZ's initiative to restart the 25 years ago Zoltán Osztie, the then president of KÉSZ, and Erzsébet Lanczendorfer, the former president of KÉSZ's Győr group, the forum started by a former member of parliament of the KDNP.

As he put it, at the beginning of the 21st century, it was perhaps never so important to talk about how different public life issues relate to the Christian faith and how the Christian faith can be lived in public life.

Csaba Latorcai emphasized that Christian people have a mission towards the world, because Christianity is not an abstract philosophy of life. It gives concrete orders and guiding principles for how to shape our narrower and wider environment, the settlements, the public life of the nation and the world.

"I believe and confess that even in the 21st century there is only one solution that creates and ensures a livable country and a livable world, and that is Christianity"

- said Csaba Latorcai, adding that the public display of Christianity is Christian democracy.

The state secretary emphasized that the Orbán government, which has been in office since 2010, built its policy on Christian principles from the very beginning.

The politician said that the series of forums will continue on November 29 in Nyíregyháza and then on December 14 in Tata. Additional locations and times can be found on the websites and Facebook pages of KÉSZ and KDNP, and the discussions will also be posted on YouTube.

Csaba Latorcai called it necessary to hold forums in all major settlements of the country, where the issues facing the country are discussed.

At the Sopron forum, the Greek Catholic priest Ákos Makláry, the president of KÉSZ, parliamentary representative Imre Vejkey, deputy faction leader of the KDNP and constitutional lawyer Zoltán Lomnici, legal expert of the Századvég Foundation, talked.
