Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will also participate in Thursday's summit of the prime ministers of the Visegrad countries in Kassa. Postponing or canceling the program did not even arise - stated Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister's press chief, referring to the summit meeting of the parliamentary presidents of the Visegrad countries, also planned for this week, but postponed.

Previously Petr Fiala announced that he would travel to the Prime Minister's V4 summit, making it clear that he does not share the position of the leaders of the Prague legislature, who boycotted the hearing of the V4 parliamentary presidents. According to Czech press reports, Petr Fiala called the cooperation of the Visegrad countries useful.

Mateusz Morawiecki, spoke about the V4 summit in Kassa: Poland, on the side of Slovakia and the Czech Republic, will ask Hungary to quickly ratify the NATO accession of Finland and Sweden.

In a few days, I will meet Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in the framework of the Visegrád Group (V4). I am sure that together with our Slovak and Czech friends we will ask Viktor Orbán to quickly ratify the documents for Sweden and Finland, because this is crucial for the eastern wing of our region

Morawiecki said.

28 of NATO's 30 members have already signed the treaties, Hungary and Turkey have not yet. On July 30, Polish President Andrzej Duda ratified the accession request of the two Northern European countries.

In May of this year, Finland and Sweden applied to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in connection with the war in Ukraine. Their accession must be approved by all NATO member countries, until then they can participate in NATO consultations as invited partners, but they do not have voting rights.

- We will ratify the Swedish and Finnish NATO accession documents before Turkey

Gergely Gulyás, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office, said recently.

Viktor Orbán said at the meeting of the Hungarian Standing Conference on Friday that the V4 is still important today, although its "dynamics have changed" as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
