A few days before the holidays, Anna Donáth, who is currently on maternity leave, started an unusually personal and intensive Facebook campaign, after five important politicians moved to the South in just one month. According to our information, Momentum is wringing its hands waiting for Donáth's return due next summer, but at the same time, many are worried that by then he will irrevocably fall prey to the Gyurcsánys, or that the party will simply become irrelevant.

Let's be in direct contact! Anna Donáth started an intensive Facebook campaign on December 19, i.e. a few days before the holidays. Momentum's politician and MEP representative, who is currently on maternity leave, asks in a rather unusual, personal ad: to join his newsletter so that he can share his thoughts about Hungary and the EU by e-mail. "It wasn't easy for me to get to you, and I'm afraid that if you go on now, we may never meet again. However, I want to talk to you about important things," says his ad.

Known: Anna Donáth announced in October that she is expecting a child, so she will not run for the presidency of Momentum and will also temporarily retire from active politics.

But it is important for you to know, for all of you who are waiting for answers, who were hoping, and also for those who have already lost hope: I am returning to politics because we have an important task, he added.

Our sources with insight into Momentum's internal affairs clearly explained to our paper Donáth's action, which began during the campaign period, to put it mildly, by saying that five important politicians left the party in less than a month to move to the DK or join the local faction of the Gyurcsány party.

Among them are Tibor Déri, mayor of Újpest, Alexandra Bodrozsán, local government representative from Kecskemét, former board member György Buzinkay, Juhász Béla, mayor of Sződliget, and Dániel Székely, local government representative from Bács-Kiskun county. And it is just icing on the cake that the Parliament suspended the immunity of four important members of parliament, András Fekete-Győr, Anna Orosz, Miklós Hajnal and Endre Tóth, in September, whose political careers thus became doubtful. All this has happened since Momentum is led by Ferenc Gelencsér, who has repeatedly put himself and his party in an unpleasant situation with his dilettantism.

At Momentum, they look forward to Donáth's return next summer with wringing hands and almost messianic anticipation.

"Anna remains the only politician in the party with character, something to say, and not least relatively serious international relations, who can stop the downward trend," said one of them. According to the unanimous statement of our sources, at the same time, many in the party are worried that until Donáth returns, it will irrevocably become the prey of the Gyurcsánys, or that Momentum will simply become irrelevant.

All of this seems to be confirmed by Zsolt Gréczy's recent Facebook post with a superior tone. "The Democratic Coalition was previously accused of being able to justify and strengthen itself only from the MSZP. The last few weeks and days have also refuted this: the DK can now be an attractive alternative for members of all opposition parties. Also to the members of those parties that were once formed so that we would not even exist. Today, people come to us and apply to Ferenc Gyurcsány, who could not have imagined this for themselves a few years ago. We accepted the Donáth doctrine, according to which we need a big party other than Fidesz. This will be the Democratic Coalition," wrote the parliamentary representative of the Gyurcsány party.
