In the RTL Klub program, model Enikő Mihalik, the wife of Dávid Korányi, the mayor's former chief adviser, essentially revealed that she and her family had not left the United States for more than a year. From this, it can be concluded that for more than a year, Korányi carried out his unspecified duties as chief consultant at City Hall remotely - for nine hundred thousand forints a month.

"We've been here ever since Rozi was born." He was born in July, and we went home to Hungary once in September. We haven't left the country for more than a year now - Mihalik Enikő, a Hungarian model living in New York, said on RTL Klub Fókusz on January 11. Dávid Korányi's wife actually spoke out, as it turned out that Mayor Gergely Karácsony's former chief adviser on city diplomacy - whose employment at City Hall was terminated on November 30 of last year - has literally been performing his advisory duties remotely since September 2021.

On December 14 last year, Deputy Mayor Ambrus Kiss could not say when he last saw Dávid Korányi at City Hall. Kiss responded to Dániel Bohár, a Megafon employee, as follows: - Wow, should I remember that? Sometime for sure. Then he added:

I don't think it's my job to count how many times he's been in here.

Almost nothing can be known about the activities of Gergely Karácsony's former city diplomatic adviser. In relation to consultant salaries, the Hungarian Nation sent a public interest data request to the mayor's office last spring, which revealed:

Diplomatic adviser Dávid Korányi did his unspecified work from his home in New York, teleworking, for nine hundred thousand forints a month.

In the Capital Assembly held in mid-December, we asked in vain, but we did not find out from the mayor exactly what activities Dávid Korányi, former city diplomatic advisor and head of Action for Democracy, was doing in the City Hall.

In response to the question of Zsolt Wintermantel, the leader of the Fidesz-KDNP faction in the capital, the mayor said that he considers Dávid Korányi's work as a city diplomat effective.

And two weeks earlier, Gergely Karácsony admitted that he knew what Action for Democracy, an NGO established by his city diplomacy chief advisor, was doing.

It was revealed that this organization provided billions of forints to the left-wing opposition from the United States during and after the election period.

The money also made it to portals such as EzaLényeg.hu, which is connected to the Democratic Coalition.

After the outbreak of the scandal, Dávid Korányi left the City Hall by mutual agreement at the end of November.
