"My position is clear: in the current situation, the NATO accession of Sweden and Finland is justified," the president of the republic wrote on his social media pages.
In her post, Katalin Novák pointed out that the Parliament will start discussing the NATO accession of Sweden and Finland on Wednesday.
"Some people think that this is an easily resolved, technical issue. It's not like this. It is a complex decision with serious consequences, so it should be carefully considered. My position is clear: in the current situation, the NATO accession of Sweden and Finland is justified," said the head of state.
He added that he trusts the Parliament to make a wise decision as soon as possible.
