Bence Tordai's luxury villa: the far-left politician has become completely ridiculous

Pursuant to the law, the construction authority can order the completion of the necessary works to bring the building into order as an obligation, or, if the building cannot be allowed to remain, the said authority can order the demolition of the building in question - stated constitutional lawyer Zoltán Lomnici Jr. in an interview with Origo regarding the fact that a forensic expert inspected Bence Tordai's villa in Buda on the spot. According to the consultant of Századvég, no one in Hungary, not even left-wing politicians, can stand above the law, and this will be proven by a series of political failures in the next elections.

On Wednesday, a legal expert conducted an on-site inspection at the Buda villa of Bence Tordai, co-chairman of Párbeszéd. The specialist can help decide whether the left-wing politician built II. district, valued his house at HUF 150 million. What happens if it turns out during the investigation that the construction of the house was irregular?

The left-wing representative II. in connection with his construction in the district, legal concerns may have arisen, because the co-chairman of the Párbeszéd-Zöldek did not comply with the licensing obligation for his villa - according to news reports - he was able to build a new property for himself, while the opposition politician originally only stated about the conversion of a farmhouse. The representative was put in a difficult situation by the construction E-diary, according to which "the remaining walls included in the plans cannot be found, a completely new frame ceramic was made instead" and II. "complete demolition and foundation digging took place" on the district plot. The Budapest Government Office, acting in the case, stated "that the residential building built on the basis of a simple notification was carried out with illegal, irregular construction activity", the legal consequences of which are the legal consequences of Act LXXVIII of 1997 on the formation and protection of the built environment. paragraphs of the law contain.

Pursuant to the legislation, the building authority can order the completion of the necessary works to bring the building into order as an obligation, or, if the building cannot be allowed to remain, the said authority can order the demolition of the building in question.

According to the governing standards, construction or construction activities are, among other things, unprofessional if they are carried out in violation of the provisions of the local building regulations or in violation of the basic requirements, professional rules and regulations for the activity.

Several procedures are underway due to the construction. Tordai is in a lawsuit with the government office, which suspended the construction procedure that had been started earlier in the case precisely because of the court procedure. The contractor who raised the fork is being investigated by the police for fraud and other crimes. What outcome can the representative expect after the procedures are concluded? What could be the most serious legal consequence at his expense?

If, according to press reports, the investigation related to abuse of office and the subsequent court proceedings end with the finding that a crime has been committed and those responsible are found during the proceedings, then the Civil Code. § 305 may be authoritative, according to which

an official who, in order to cause an unlawful disadvantage or obtain an unlawful advantage, a) violates his official duty, b) exceeds his official powers, or c) otherwise abuses his official position, shall be punished for a crime with imprisonment of up to three years.

In general, if it is established that fraud has been committed, a prison term of at least two years can be imposed on the responsible person or persons. Further serious legal consequences can be the future decisions that can be made by a government office in such cases, which may include possible fines, the obligation to renovate the villa, or the possible demolition of the house.

How does this matter affect the judgment of the politician, and why is the left silent about this matter?

In recent years, the relevant politician has set his banner on the struggle along the principles of the rule of law, the fight against corruption and transparent politicking. The left-wing politician was the one who protested the loudest - taking pictures in front of the property - II. built by a well-known contractor. in order to demolish district property. The opposition mayor of the district practically immediately distanced himself from the current case of his fellow representative belonging to his political community, while the green politician would shift the responsibility to the government office and challenged the refusal to issue the official certificate at the Capital District Court.

The only question is, how do the opposition voters evaluate the immoral opposition politics that does not respond to various scandals?

In Hungary, no one, not even the left-wing politicians, can stand above the law, and a series of political failures in the next elections will prove this to them. In addition to the legal consequences, the political ones are also very serious and, what is probably more painful, can be long-term for the left.
