The positions of Brussels and the Hungarian government on immigration have not converged since 2015: Hungary still wants to stop it, while Brussels wants to organize migration, said the state secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (KKM) responsible for information and the international presentation of Hungary on the current channel M1 on Monday.

Tamás Menczer said that no substantive steps have been taken to resolve the conflict, and this is particularly worrying because of terrorism and illegal immigration. As he said, the immigration quota is still on the agenda in Brussels; the so-called reception and integration action plan - which was adopted last November and confirmed this year - discusses in detail the management and management of migration, but also includes the fact that immigrants who have already been brought in must be provided with the possibility of political decision-making.

According to Tamás Menczer, the action plan also states that open societies must be created and housing provided to immigrants, who must be treated as citizens. In response to a question, he also stated that the Hungarian government could spend HUF 500-600 billion on border protection in the past period, and that Brussels should pay at least half of this amount, since the country not only protected itself, but also the Union. “But I see no sign of it! This also shows that they do not want to stop immigration," he pointed out, adding that migration cannot be stopped with nice words, only with a fence, soldiers and police, and the legal environment that helps them.
