At the end of this week, the world horse archery championship and the world meeting of international judges will be held in Zselic, the best equipped horse archery center in the world, i.e. on the estate of Lajos Kassai.

Loud green lankas, authentic buildings and a beautiful lake welcome the visitor in the Kassai Valley spread among the hills of Zselic, on the estate of the horse archer Lajos Kassai. Crossing a wooden bridge from the parking lot, the road leads through a corridor between lagoons to the gate of the valley. More and more people are coming, because at the end of the week the World Horse Archery Championship and the world meeting of international judges will be held here, in the world's best equipped horse archery center. On the occasion of this event, Professor Miklós Kásler visited the valley to sign the cooperation agreement between the Hungarian Research Institute and Lajos Kassai.

Lajos Kassai has been involved in equestrian archery since the 1980s, which has now grown into an international sport thanks to his work. Horse archery centers based on the Kassai system currently operate in 16 countries within the World Horse Archery Federation, where the rule system marked by his name provides students with the appropriate framework for practicing this special sport. Miklós Kásler and Lajos Kassai signed the cooperation in the impressive knight's hall full of relics a few days ago, and then a press conference was held.

Horse archery is Hungarian

The Hungarian Research Institute contacted me with the intention of working together - Lajos Kassai began the presentation.

The valley has existed for 35 years, next year we will celebrate the organization of the 30th horse archery competition. This is also appropriate for this handshake, since everything that is summarized in Hungarian culture and in the field of science reaches different parts of the world through martial arts and sports. I spread this culture, that's why I got the title of Knight of Culture and that's why equestrian archery became Hungarian.

This cooperation will be about the need for the support that only science can provide for those who deal with culture and spread culture.

- summed up the horse archer.

Then Miklós Kásler, the director general of the Hungarian Research Institute, spoke about the purpose of the establishment of the institute, which clarifies the questions of the origin of Hungarians and the events of Hungarian history.

The institute's mission is to communicate these results to the Hungarian nation and the wider world

Miklós Kásler pointed out.

Good results were achieved in archaeogenetics, classical philology in the field of language research. Lajos Kassai created the conditions in the valley 1,100 years ago, during the time of Árpád, which reflects and verifies in practice how our ancestors lived, what their lifestyle was like, how they saw the world, and how the foundations of Hungarian traditions and culture were formed. in all fields of the arts. That's why we decided to contact him and, in addition to congratulating him, ask him to spread basic knowledge about Hungarians in the wider world. It is a great pleasure for me that he said yes, and I am sure that this relationship will be fruitful, said the professor.

The cooperation

After the press conference, Miklós Kásler answered our question why he considers this agreement important. He said that an integral part of the scientific part of research on Hungarians is to be able to spread the word about everything in the world, to get to know the validated, fact-based knowledge about Hungarians. An integral part of this is the way of life itself and the tools and weapons that laid the foundation for the martial art, which controlled all events in Europe for at least a hundred years. events.

Lajos Kassai rediscovered the technique of this way of life, of weapons, of their operation, the complex operation of the recoil bow, the training, material and trajectory of the arrow, emphasized Miklós Kásler. He then talked about how their cooperation is realized in practice:

The Hungarian Research Institute will provide the scientific background for Lajos Kassai's events. The cooperation applies to the investigation of scientific questions and the dissemination of knowledge in the world, but it also applies to the compilation of various educational films, programs, publications, and the creation of scientific conferences

he added.
