According to them, the activities carried out on the platform are dangerous.

The LMP asks Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to end his communication activities on TikTok. All this was said by Máté Kanász-Nagy, the deputy faction leader of the LMP, at his press conference in Budapest on Saturday, which was also broadcast online.

The politician put it this way: using the application poses a data protection and cyber security risk, so it does not matter whether it is installed on ministry or government devices. According to the LMP, it would be reassuring if the prime minister did not use TikTok on his official devices, Máté Kanász-Nagy said. He added that the ownership structure of the application is "tied by a thousand threads" to the Chinese state and the Chinese Communist Party.

He emphasized that TikTok has access to, among other things, calendar entries, contact lists and GPS data, which means that sensitive personal and government data can be accessed by unauthorized persons.

It is interesting that all this does not concern LMP in the case of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

The deputy faction leader said that the LMP submitted a bill that would ban the use of TikTok on official devices used in the course of work in the state and local government spheres. He noted that many countries have made similar decisions in the recent period.
