This year, Viktor Orbán will pay his respects at the country's only political festival: he will speak about the tasks facing the country on Friday, August 25, in Tihany.

The in - chief of , the XXI . Director of the Century Institute.

Márton Békés said: since 2009, when Tranzit started in the winter of the year, it has always been the same and always different from year to year. This is especially true for the four-day big event in Tihany, which has been operating according to a similar dance routine for more than half a decade, but still manages to remain current.

The main theme is basically similar: Tranzit, organized as a community of communities, is the ideological and practical scene for the creation of an independent, sovereign, self-governing Hungary. Of course, the exact topic changes from quarter to quarter and year to year: now, for example, particularly acutely raised.

" I am deliberately speaking in relation to the former pair of opposites in a negative way, but in terms of the skyscapes," said Márton Békés, adding that smaller groups of topics, such as the economic, foreign and domestic political ones, or the processes taking place in the first third of the 21st century, are connected to this, for example the impending world system change and cultural sovereignty.

" In recent years, Tranzit in Tihany has functioned as a thought expo, this August it will be accompanied by all the excitement of a political festival. It will be good," Békés promised .

He said about the Tranzit program: the ministerial-level lectures in the morning and the internal political debates after lunch promise to be very interesting . "B price, to be honest, I experience such bad mental and personal staff on the other side that I hope for little intellectual excitement from the accommodation of an opposition figure in the ring. Still, you have to stay in training, and you have to constantly beat ours. I am an eternal optimist: even after hearing the biggest momentary nonsense, a good idea can be born in us".

According to Márton Békés, you have to argue , you have to try out the arguments, since shielding is an important part of the training plan in boxing as well, and the shooter's skills are honed on the shooting range.

There is certainly no bubble in Tihany, but at the same time we are among ourselves, a critical voice or internal debate always occurs, and that is right. As long as this has an improving intention, is not driven by individual brilliance, but by a community intention, and does not remain at the level of blind personalization, then it is good and important, because it builds us up".

The XXI. According to the director of the Század Institute, the structure of cultural hegemony is changing at home, to which the governmental efforts of the past 12-13 years and the voluntary work of organizers and intellectuals have contributed. "Every year, for example, I pay attention to the selection of the June Book Week, and I find that on the national-conservative side there are two or three times more ideological works - in a good sense - than on the cosmopolitan-progressive side, not to mention the quality. Civic-right foundations, think tanks, book publishers, magazines, events and talent management produce more knowledge, better ideas and more thorough knowledge than the left-liberal milieu, which almost only protects its literary strongholds. This means two things for us: a lot of humility and even more work".

In his speech in Tusnádfürdő in 2018, Viktor Orbán talked about the difference between the system and the era, considering the former as a political operation, a set of structures, and the latter as a set of cultural content interpreted as broadly as possible. Since then, every summer the left-liberal intellectuals have fought their own little seasonal cultural battle, and then when they have taken a vacation in Tuscany, they return to Pest from September and continue where they left off.

There was a year when the quoted Orbán speech, there was a time when they were taken up by the CEU or the MTA's defensive struggles or even the preparation of the SZFÉ fight, and this year the exchange of Libri - which represents a completely normal and not just started market process - it was about that.

In addition, there were micro-issues such as the painting of benches in Ferencváros and the binding of books that met the legal obligation, but they really wanted to create a bigger issue out of the general director elections as well. In short, my answer to the question is that in this country, the left-liberal intellectuals are waging a culture war, while we are fighting for our own national culture.

This is not a party issue, or a right-left issue, because if we succeed, there will be people reading and writing in Hungarian for the next thousand years. Ours is a historical task, not a one-year hit - stated Márton Békés .
