"Action for Democracy does not respect any democratic principles and values, it has only one goal, the overthrow of governments representing Christian and conservative values at any cost and by any means," László Csizmadia responded to vasarnap.hu's inquiry .

The paper turned to the chairman of the CÖF-CÖKA board of trustees after the US-based Action for Democracy led by Dávid Korányi announced financial support for three more Hungarian initiatives , but the Hungarian Civil Union, associated with the lawyer György Magyar, was mistakenly illustrated with the CÖF-CÖKA logo.

How do you comment on the fact that Action for Democracy - wrongly - illustrated the Hungarian Civil Union, which they want to support, with the CÖF logo?

First of all, it is important to note that, unfortunately, it is not the first time that the name of our organization is misused on the opposition political side, or that the logo of the Civil Solidarity Forum is used without our consent as confirmation of their goals and as a false proof of their civil support. We have acted against all of these without delay, since any negative and untrue appearance of this kind threatens our credibility, the prevention of which is a legitimate expectation from the real civilian base behind us.

As for the current case, we ourselves learned about the existence of the organization Action for Democracy, its political goals, its foreign supporters and domestic political beneficiaries from news reports in the Hungarian media, and the Civil Solidarity Forum has never been in contact with them in any form.

The case is also extremely harmful to us because the "Hungarian Civil Union" illustrated by the American organization with the logo of CÖF-CÖKA - a politician-lawyer and former MSZP candidate for parliament - who is one of Ferenc Gyurcsány's top confidants - led by György Magyar has no it cannot meet the criteria of civility either, on the contrary, it fulfills the pseudo-civilian role that goes against the perception and values professed by our organization.

But what is perhaps most important: CÖF-CÖKA has not accepted any foreign support in the past, and will not in the future.

The reason for this is that our organization considers the sacred and inviolable principle of popular sovereignty as a guiding principle, according to which the source of public power is the people, that is, the totality of the electorate of a given country. Organizations such as Action for Democracy, which serve foreign political and financial interests, fundamentally violate this principle.

In the light of all of this, it is clear that such an irresponsible and – excuse the expression – amateur mistake can lead to potential danger and damage to the reputation of an NGO fulfilling a mission based on national values, but it also draws attention to the incompetence of an organization that handles huge foreign funds.

What do you think about the activities of Action for Democracy?

The essence of the operation of Action for Democracy is to undermine and disregard the principles that give the essence of democracy.

In short: the organization does not respect any democratic principles and values, it has only one goal, the overthrow of governments representing Christian and conservative values at any cost and by any means. It is an aggravating circumstance that he does all this using civility, hiding behind the civil organization form.

In addition, the protagonist of the most significant foreign intervention in Hungarian political history after the regime change can also count on the effective support of certain political forces in this activity, which in principle should act responsibly, obeying and respecting the laws. The previous official investigations have clearly shown that there is a connection between the organization and the US government and Democratic business groups.

And this anti-democratic work is being assisted without remorse by the entire left, which is in a crisis of values, ignoring the laws and exploiting various loopholes, which, in the absence of a real political program, can only rely on the supremacy created by foreign sources. This is how several billion forints worth of American support was able to reach the Hungarian opposition in the 2022 election campaign through Action for Democracy.

Among other things, Dávid Korányi wrote in his thoughts attached to the announcement that they are committed to supporting the democratic ecosystem in Hungary. The executive director of Action for Democracy said: "We support initiatives that can have a significant positive impact in the medium and long term. We will not allow ourselves to be intimidated by Orbán's propaganda and party-state apparatus." What do you think about this?

It is interesting that Mr. Korányi prefers to refer to those values with which the operation of his organization is incompatible. Because repeated attempts to suppress the democratic will of the people with illegitimate means can hardly be equated with "nurturing the democratic ecosystem".

After all, despite the fact that Action for Democracy has not yet succeeded in clarifying its real role in the Hungarian elections and providing an explanation for the domestic distribution of the famous dollar donations - thus still providing work for the authorities -, the organization is already spectacularly "rolling" further into the other battleground states - e.g. . To Poland and Slovakia - which are the venues of the next parliamentary elections.

They do all of this in such a way that the development of the already mentioned democratic ecosystem becomes destructive, poisonous and self-destructive for the Christian and conservative societies of Europe, precisely because of the opaque American interest capital that finances them.

It's more than embarrassing: Korányi Dávidék are very entangled in their own message
