The sad news was announced by Máté Kocsis.

On November 3, Béla Turi-Kovács died at the age of 87 at home, surrounded by his loved ones, Máté Kocsis, Fidesz faction leader, wrote on his social media page. The Fidesz politician has been a member of parliament since 1998, and since 2014 he has been the co-chairman and oldest member of the Parliament.

Máté Kocsis recalled in his post:

Turi-Kovács took part in the revolution in 1956 and later worked as a lawyer.

Throughout his life, he had the small farmer and civil movements close to his heart, and was always a decisive figure in his political communities. His knowledge and life experience are an irreplaceable loss for our representative group. Béla Turi-Kovács was 87 years old. God bless you, our brother Béla!
