While Macron says it is Israel, Netanyahu says it is Hamas. What Hamas is doing in the Gaza Strip today, they could even happen in Paris tomorrow, the Israeli president commented on the accusations of his French colleague.

Israel must stop bombing civilians in the Gaza Strip

- said the French president in a statement to the British public television BBC.

Speaking about the flare-up of the conflict in the Middle East, Emmanuel Macron said that the Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip "actually affect the civilian population", and nothing can justify this. According to Macron, babies, women and old people die in bomb attacks.

There is no reason for this, no right, and that is why we call on Israel to end this"

said the French president in the BBC interview.

He added: at the international peace forum held in Paris this week, the participating governments and organizations came to the clear opinion that the only possible solution could be the suspension of military operations for humanitarian purposes and then the ordering of a ceasefire.

He said he hoped his call for a ceasefire would be joined by other Western powers, including the United States and Britain.

At the same time, the French president emphasized:

France unequivocally condemns the October 7 attack against Israel by the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas, which dominates the Gaza Strip.

In his attack, 1,400 Israelis were killed, 3,000 were injured, and Hamas took 240 hostages to Gaza.

"We share Israel's pain and we share its desire to get rid of terrorism"

- He told.

Netanyahu sees it differently

The responsibility for the fate of the peaceful civilian residents of the Gaza Strip rests solely with the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas, not Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Saturday, in response to French President Emmanuel Macron's statements criticizing Israel.

Israel does everything it can to avoid harming civilians

According to a statement released by his office, Netanyahu recalled that Israel went to war because

the terrorist organization brutally murdered hundreds of Israelis and captured more than two hundred".

He stressed that Israel is doing everything possible to avoid harming civilians, calling on them to leave the areas affected by the fighting. In contrast, Hamas does everything it can to prevent civilian residents from leaving unsafe areas, and its militants use them as human shields.

"The crimes that Hamas is now carrying out in the Gaza Strip could even happen in Paris tomorrow"

According to the words of the Israeli Prime Minister, Hamas is holding women, children and elderly people captive in cruel conditions, which commits a crime against humanity. In addition, the militants of the terrorist organization use schools, mosques and hospitals as their headquarters.

Netanyahu warned that the crimes that Hamas is now carrying out in the Gaza Strip could happen tomorrow in Paris, New York or anywhere else in the world.

That's why world leaders should condemn Hamas, not Israel."

stated the Prime Minister.

In an interview with the British public television station BBC, published on Friday evening, the French head of state stated that the Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip "actually affect the civilian population", and there is no reason for this. Macron also called on Israel to end airstrikes on civilians.
