The laureate has been healing for forty years, not only today's children, but also grandparents know him well, and he has also helped many priests to start their careers.

Pediatrician Katalin Tóth received the St. Elizabeth's Rose Award on Monday evening, which was presented by Bishop András Veres of Győr, president of the Hungarian Catholic Bishops' Conference (MKPK). The recognition was established in December 1999 by the MKPK to recognize the virtues of mercy and serving love and to show the personal example of the recipient.

Born in Jászfényszarun, the doctor decided as a child that she would choose medicine as her profession. She was in primary school when she felt that this could be her path during a first aid course.

He began his medical career in Szolnok, and after a pediatric position became vacant in Abony, he applied there. - His medical profession becomes a gift for everyone in the city of Abony, where he has been performing his healing service for more than four decades. As a pediatrician, she has been known by children, parents and grandparents for more than 40 years - the Hungarian Catholic Bishops' Conference described Katalin Tóth, who, in addition to her medical work, has been leading the Abonyi Charity Group since 2004.

- His selfless helping love permeates not only the lives of those in need, but also the everyday life of the entire city. His humanity, his faith, his healing and helping work stemming from love, his radiant personality can rightly be considered an example to be followed not only by those working in the service of charity, but by all people - they wrote, emphasizing that

in addition to his medical profession, he also took great care to encourage and support several young people who felt a vocation to the priesthood with his love and support stemming from his deep faith, so that their financial situation would not be an obstacle to fulfilling their priestly vocation.

The event held at the House of Hungarian Music was also a charity evening, the proceeds of which MKPK donated to the Ferences Order Autistic Help Center in Gyöngyös. The Ferences Rendi Autistic Help Center located in Gyöngyös started its operation in 1999: the institution's primary school currently has 50 students, where special pedagogues and special pedagogic assistants deal with the children in eight groups. The aim of the institution is to get to know the children individually and to develop them along these lines. Autism-specific methods are used, such as space-time organization, color codes, behavior therapy, image exchange communication, process diagrams, perspective cards. With these methods, their goal is to work independently and develop a sense of responsibility.
