Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Radio Kossuth Good morning, Hungary! he said in his program, the Hungarian economy has proven that it is crisis-proof even without EU funds. The Prime Minister added: there is no money for Hungary to allow migrants in and expose Hungarian children to LGBTQ propaganda. Viktor Orbán announced that the opened EU funds will enable the salary increase program for teachers to be completed in 3 years instead of 6.

The visit of the Slovak Prime Minister was an outstanding event, as today essentially only positive parts of the relations between the two countries remain, it was a long time ago - said Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Kossuth Rádió Good morning, Hungary! in his show.

According to the Prime Minister, we have reached the point where life along the border between Slovakia and Hungary has become much easier, as instead of the previous ten or so crossing points, there are now about forty.

The other Prime Minister's visit was in 2024, the arrival of the Prime Minister of Vietnam, since according to almost all important international surveys, Vietnam is among the ten most dynamically developing countries in the world. We would like some of the significant capital accumulated there to come here in the form of investments and also for Hungarian businessmen to appear there as investors, said Viktor Orbán.

There are current and deeper reasons why the President of the European Commission made serious criticisms of Hungary this week. The current issue is that there will be elections, and in such a situation there are many leaders who "want to survive", said Viktor Orbán.

He added that when there is no election, you can "copy" European politics, but when the election comes, you have to talk to the people directly, and that's what happened now. Ursula von der Leyen has ambitions, she had to say what is wrong with the Hungarians, the prime minister said.

The real reasons are that we don't allow migrants and LGBTQ activists.

We don't have the money to allow them to "populate" our country and to give our children and grandchildren to LGBTQ activists

- said the Prime Minister, noting that we cannot be financially blackmailed, these are more important issues than money.

These are the issues that will be discussed in the EP elections, he emphasized.

There is nothing wrong with the Hungarian judicial and public procurement system

It was also recognized in Brussels several times: the real problem is the migrant issue, gender, and the war

Viktor Orbán pointed out.

The Prime Minister also said that our national unity goes back 1,000 years, in the West it is only a few hundred years. He added: the national consultation proves this. It's about the fact that this connection is still there. According to the Prime Minister, this is a huge advantage for this community, because it is always easier to get along in the world together than alone. 2023 was a year of difficulties, but the fact that we overcame it strengthens the sense of togetherness among Hungarians.

Regarding EU resources, the Prime Minister said that

In 2023, the Hungarian people proved that the Hungarian economy is crisis-proof even without EU funds,

since EU money did not come when we were in crisis.

It is good to have EU money, but it is not a large amount in terms of the Hungarian economy. Moreover, not only does it come, but we also have to pay, so it is even less in net terms.

EU funds speed us up. An example of this is that the government had a teacher salary increase program, which is a 6-year plan. The government can implement this with EU funds in 3 years.

Now we hope that the quality of the work of the teachers dealing with our children will also increase, added the Prime Minister.

"What I'm always a little nervous about is the 13th month pension," remarked the prime minister, who revealed that every year he has a serious conversation with the finance minister about whether they can pay it in one lump sum. "This year, however, I can definitely say who," said Viktor Orbán.

The big question regarding inflation is whether it will rise again to the previously high level, but according to the Prime Minister, the danger of this is currently minimal here.

The prime minister stated that the issue of economic growth is more important, that "calmly, calmly, without losing pace, but gradually help entrepreneurs to invest", this also requires lower loan interest rates. The fact that it does not interfere in the affairs of the central bank is already a big help on the part of the government, he added.
