Family and children's programs, Palóc gastronomy, egg painting - a wide range of Easter customs and traditions will be brought to life in front of visitors.

This year, the Hollókő Easter Festival will last four days, the programs will start on Friday in the world heritage village of Nógrád county, announced the managing director of the Hollókő World Heritage Nonprofit Kft.

Boglárka Bakos highlighted: visitors are welcomed with a rich folklore program, Palóc gastronomy, folk customs, watering holes, concerts, but family and children's programs have also been organized in Hollókő.

On Friday, the free day, there will be a craft fair on Petőfi út, egg painting at several locations, archival images and old Ravenclaw films will be shown in the Visitors' Hall, and fasting customs will be revived before the Good Friday liturgy.

On Saturdays, gastronomic and traditional programs await those interested in the courtyards of Ófalu: clapping, presentation of folk life, dance lessons with the Nógrád Dance Ensemble, circle dance and folk costume with the Hollókő Folk Dance Ensemble, plum dumplings cooking with the Kétbodonyi Traditional Keepers.

The Keleti Szél band will give a concert on the main stage in the evening.

Sunday begins with the Easter Mass and the Resurrection Procession, followed by the sprinkling at the church and the lower well.

On the stage, the Hollókő Dance Ensemble and the Hollókő zithers open the festive program with an Easter show, the Fonó Folk Dance Ensemble and the Nógrád Dance Ensemble, the Pásztó Folk Band, and the Dűvő Zenekar perform, among others.

On Easter Sunday, there will also be a mass, watering, numerous folklore programs, guests can also listen to the stories of János Bukovics, a storyteller from Palóc.

Among others, the Muzsla Folk Dance Ensemble and the Magyar Banda Hegedűs will take the stage with singers Bori and Causanella Izabella.
