An agreement has also been reached with the Czech Republic, so from tomorrow vaccinated Hungarians and Czechs can travel between the two countries without any quarantine or testing obligations, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade announced on his social media page early Friday.

Péter Szijjártó highlighted that vaccination certificates are mutually recognized by the two countries, so the agreement is valid for everyone, regardless of the type of vaccine administered.

"We have discussed a lot in the last few days with our Czech friends to allow our already vaccinated citizens to travel freely between our countries," wrote the minister.

He added that hundreds of thousands of tourists visit each year between the Czech Republic and Hungary, and from now on, the opportunity for mutual sightseeing in Prague, Budapest, and Brno, visiting spa towns, and relaxing in Balaton and Hévíz will open up again.

Péter Szijjártó also announced that they are also negotiating with other countries - "today in Poland, in Lódz" - and as soon as the next agreement is reached, information will be provided immediately.
