Music School to occupy the building on Damjanich Street, referring to the Erzsébetváros Municipality's debts of several tens of millions and the rent for the future

The school district doesn't want to pay, so it won't sign a contract - the Erzsébetváros municipality led by Péter Niedermüller announced on Facebook. "The tender for the lease of the building at 4 Damjanich Street was won by the Belső-Pest Tankerületi Központ, which, in addition to its own offices, undertook to house the Antal Molnár Music School in the building," they write.

"After the announcement of the results, the municipality of Erzsébetváros did everything to ensure that the lease contract could be signed and that the music school could move into the property," claims the municipality, which claims that they did everything possible, including payment in installments, to settle the disputed issues.

Despite all this, the Belső-Pest Education Center did not sign the contract with the conditions agreed in their application. In a letter dated June 17, the Board of Education informed the Municipality that, despite the obligation assumed in their application, they do not wish to pay rent.

As a justification, they refer to a law that does not apply to them or to this property. With this step, the Board of Education prevented the Antal Molnár Music School from moving into the building, as it misled the Municipality with its application," the post states.
