For many mothers, the gross becomes net six months after giving birth - the Mária Kopp Institute indicated in its announcement to MTI-OS.

The government introduced the CSED 100 from July 1, i.e. raised the childcare fee to 100 percent of the previous salary. Only personal income tax is deducted from CSED, which initially puts mothers in a more advantageous position, but thanks to the tax benefits, even the previous gross salary can become net.

The infant care fee, which was previously called pregnancy maternity allowance by the left-liberal governments, is now far from an aid-like benefit, but rather a huge help for families and mothers who have children, which puts them in a particularly advantageous financial position after childbirth compared to when they did not have children. . During the first six months of the baby's life, they receive more money than when they were still working, since no contributions are deducted from CSED, only personal income tax. Thanks to this, a woman who, for example, had a gross salary of HUF 300,000 while she was working

She took home HUF 200,000, but after giving birth, she already has HUF 255,000.

Those who claim tax benefits from the CSED are even better off. Women giving birth to their fourth or more children are exempt from paying personal income tax from the outset,

in their case, the amount of gross and net CSED is the same. From January 1 of next year, the same will apply to young mothers under the age of 25 who already worked before giving birth, as they will also enjoy unemployment benefits.

In addition to these two groups, there is also a chance to net the previous gross salary during the six-month period of CSED, i.e. maternity leave, for those who use the family tax allowance. In order to be entitled to the maximum tax relief and thus receive the amount of their gross CSED as a net amount, it is sufficient for one child to have a minimum gross monthly amount of CSED of HUF 66,670, and for two children HUF 266,670, they only need the 15 to pay a percentage interest. Those who give birth to the third child

They enjoy a tax exemption of up to HUF 660,000.

The number of mothers eligible for CSED has increased significantly in recent years due to high female employment. Today it's an average of a month

30,000 mothers receive CSED, in 2011 this number was only around 24,000. From July 1, under the new, more favorable conditions, those who have already had a child but are still on maternity leave, which lasts for six months, will also receive the childcare fee. This

The 168-day period can also start from the fourth week before the birth.

By applying for the CSED, the GYED is also applied for, it does not need to be applied for separately. It is not possible to work during the CSED, but after the child reaches the age of six months, the parents can work without limits in addition to paying the GYED.

The period of infant care, the first six months of the child's life, is memorable for every mother, and despite its difficulties, it is a wonderful period that is of decisive importance in terms of the development of the bond between the child and the mother.

In the words of Mária Kopp: "giving birth and breastfeeding children, establishing a safe early mother-child relationship is the inalienable task of women". For this privileged and special period, the Hungarian family policy now provides even greater support that has never been seen before and anywhere else in the world.
