A four-member CÖF delegation also participated in the inauguration of the statue of our former prime minister Pál Teleki in Krakow. Here are the lines written by one of the members of the delegation, László Kiss, about the wreath-laying:

"Our 4-member CÖF delegation was received with great respect and attention at the statue inauguration site of our former Prime Minister Pál Teleki. Mrs. Renata Groyecka, the vice-president of the Statue Committee and the main organizer of the ceremonial statue inauguration, received us with special attention. We were given our place directly behind sculptor Stefan Dousa and sculpture committee member Andrzej Przybyszowski. In addition to us, in an official capacity, the Hungarian Consul General, dr. Tibor Gerencsér and the Director of the Institute of Military History, dr. Colonel Vilmos Kovács took part in the ceremony. Our delegation received a personal interpreter for the entire duration of the inauguration ceremony and the joint lunch that followed.

The CÖF delegation lays a wreath on Pál Teleki's statue in Krakow

The statue inauguration ceremony began with the Hungarian and Polish national anthems. Those present listened to my speech as a CÖF delegate with interest. On behalf of the Civil Unity Forum, we placed a laurel wreath decorated with a national ribbon on the memorial during the wreath-laying ceremony.

With the copies of my recently published book in Polish, I presented the "leaders" of the event and the present Mr. Tomasz Sakievicz, the editor of Gazeta Polska and the Hungarian Consul General.
