We would like to bring to your attention a special event that will take place on June 22 (Wednesday) at 6 p.m. at the Polish Institute. " In the Footsteps of the Tatra Couriers", which is an initiative of the tradition preservation group of the "Radosław Alakulat" Historical Society .

For the second time, this year, the participants of the project set off from the Tatras, paying tribute to the heroic couriers of the Polish Underground State, as well as commemorating the heroic efforts of the Poles in order to maintain contact and communication between the occupied country and the Polish government in exile.

Without the support of the Hungarians, the activities of the Tatras couriers would not have been possible. That's why the organizers, in this year's continuation of the project, the Polish and Hungarian nations II. I would like to emphasize the extraordinary cooperation experienced during World War II. The crowning of the event will be the opening of the exhibition "The Limits of Hope" and the live history lesson presented by traditional preservation groups, which will be held at the Polish Institute in Budapest.

Program:

  • Live history lesson presented by Polish and Hungarian traditionalist groups, II. World War II Polish military uniforms - combined with the presentation of the uniforms and weapons of soldiers who served both in the regular army and in the conspiratorial formations of the Polish Underground State.
  • The opening of the painting exhibition "The Borders of Hope".
