In the press products of people from the developed world who lean towards liberalism in their boredom, the familiar image keeps echoing: the church, Christianity itself is hell on earth, it is incomprehensible who follows it; but now this picture is changing too - you could say it's 50 shades of darkness here.

An example was given of a Serbian hermit who fled from the world because otherwise he would have to constantly argue with his ex-wife, the neighbor, the policeman, but no one bothers him in his cave. The 70-year-old man, who lives on forest mushrooms and the contents of city trash cans and finds his freedom in this, announced that he will vaccinate himself as soon as possible. Now everyone watch it. It is clear even to such a simple person that viruses can only be stopped with a vaccine.

It is said that "one of the most influential leaders of the Church", Cardinal Raymond Burke , well, he is of the opinion - I emphasize, opinion - that only Jesus can cure the disease. There is nothing to beautify this, unfortunately, the cardinal's regrettable and wrong opinion regarding the treatment of the current epidemic situation is not unique among Christians. More people share this view than a sane person would like to associate with, especially nowadays, but even then it is no more than an opinion.

The Vatican's position is that no, it is precisely on the side of vaccination (why would God give man reason if he does not use it for his own prosperity?), in fact, Pope Francis and Pope XVI were among the first to be vaccinated in the Vatican . Pope Emeritus Benedict is also criticized for his conservatism. However, this is somehow out of the question here.

Looking at their liberal colleagues, they always like to conclude that the Church is a moral leper colony. If it's about vaccination, it's because you look at "the Burke" - we'll leave you to Benedek - and if it's about protecting the interests of homosexuals, it's because you look at the many hypocritical, homosexual homophobes, for example "the Burke ” – we prefer to leave the actual position of the Church on the whole topic, and let's not even talk about the cloak-twisting Francis, who was a good person at first, and then banned all "regular" marriages. So it is better for us (for them) to propagate the voluntary homeless than to acknowledge the truth of the Church at any time.

Because, of course, the cardinal is homophobic (as well), and therefore statistically homosexual, therefore a hypocrite (à la Frédéric Martel, who in his book goes so far as to say that if a priest is homophobic, he is homosexual, but if he is pro-gay, he is more likely to be heterosexual, see Pope Francis) . And since the Church itself fights with the greatest zeal in the world against homosexuality, most of the church leaders are probably self-repressing homosexuals, but more importantly, hypocrites. So they are all brains, let's not listen to them, on the other hand, to the hermit uncle in the cave in Serbia. He does it well.

Liberal journalists usually come to the realization: the operation of the Church is not flawless - after all, there is not a single company in the world that has a whole series of perfect people. (I bet even poor Steve Jobs wore the same black T-shirt two days in a row.)

The tendency to get to know the other, let me not say: accept it, theology and other things are not even present at the level of mention, they somehow never go a circle deeper than the surface, to the level of why. Is the Church really homophobic? And what about the world-famous dissonance that intellectuals also have believers? Would the Church really be the biggest criminal organization in the world, which exploits and leads people according to its own interests? What's more, he's even out of touch with the Csóringer collegiate students, because he's organizing a Eucharistic Congress here in Budapest, directly so that they can move in a week later? (The army of students excluded from colic for half a year due to Covid will hardly be affected by this.)

Christians, on the other hand, are members of the Church not because they spend their single-minded days under the illusion that better people than them are leading it, but because of Christ. Moreover, for some reason, He entrusted His Church to these people. Of course, it is possible to say that "but this is no longer directly the will of Christ", but then it is worth looking at the "composition" of the team that Jesus sent the Church on in the beginning.
