The autumn 40 Days of Prayer for Life, a time of fasting and peaceful presence, is approaching. 40 Days for Life is a pro-life campaign aimed at drawing attention to the fact that life begins at conception through prayer, fasting and peaceful presence. Their common cause is to protect and help the baby and the mother.

From September 22 to October 31, 2021, 12-hour service every day, in public space, again in front of a Budapest hospital. (Probably again in front of the II Women's Clinic in the park). The presenters - in shifts - welcome new worshipers every hour. A minimum of 2-3 worshipers are required on site every hour.

Let's pray and fast together with our Christian brothers and sisters inside and outside our borders, so that those who want can keep their babies, more children can be born, and the number of abortions can decrease!

The mission of the campaign

The coming together of the body of Christ in a spirit of unity, during 40 days of prayer, fasting and peaceful presence, for the purpose of repentance, to seek the grace of God. The spirituality of life should be replaced by the spirituality of death. May the choice of LIFE be desirable for the babies, i.e. the fruits of the womb.

The campaign consists of three main components:

• Prayer and fasting: calling believers in our city and across the country to join in 40 days of fervent prayer and fasting

• Peaceful presence: standing in favor of life for 40 days, in a public space, near a hospital where abortions are performed. Emphasizing the value and importance of LIFE.

• Community awareness: Forming opinions, using the media, petitions and public visibility to deliver positive, energetic pro-life messages to people. Church and school outreach.

The first 40 Days for Life campaign was organized in the fall of 2004 in Bryan / College Station, Texas. Stories about the success of the campaign spread by word of mouth, motivating local churches and pro-life members of the community. Over the next two years, six other cities continued their own campaigns. In the fall of 2007, the first coordinated, simultaneous 40 Days for Life campaign was held in 89 cities in the United States. Between 2004 and 2021, more than 1,000 cities in 64 nations held 40 Days for Life campaigns.
